SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. A pair of late goals by Seton Hall’s Nicki Gross (Emerson, N.J.) and Katie Andreski (Wilkesboro, N.C.) defeats Fairfield 2-0 at Owen T. Carroll Field Wednesday afternoon. The win improves Seton Hall’s overall record to 3-0.
With the game knotted at zero late in 67th minute, Gross received a pass from Alli Donofrio (Wayne, N.J.) from across the right side of the box to bury her second goal of the season. Three minutes later, Andreski scored her first of the season the same way off a feed from Katherine De Tata (Brick, N.J.). For Donofrio and De Tata, it was their first assists of the season.
The BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week Amanda Becker (Aston, Pa) picked up her third shutout of the season stopping all three shots she faced.
Seton Hall will return to action Sunday afternoon at Owen T. Carroll Field to take on the University of Delaware. Kick-off is set for 1:00 pm.
