
Women's Soccer Announces Five Recruits To 2010 Team

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall women's soccer head coach Kazbek Tambi has announced the signings of Brittney Albrecht, Ashley Clarke, Meghan Hayes, Kaitlyn Ritter, and Amie Ruhe to the 2010 squad.
"We are really excited about this freshman class," said Tambi. "There is a wealth of talent and experience and we are fully expect them to be impactful on our team right away."
Brittney Albrecht, native of Mahwah, N.J., was a four-year varsity starter at Mahwah High School earning All-League and All-County honors each season and was a three-time All-State honoree. During the four years, Albrecht tallied 40 goals and 32 assists while captaining the team her final season to the State Finals. In addition, she was a Regional I Pool Player as well as a three year member of the NJODP team, and carries international experience to the team having won the Trivoli Cup Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark and was a finalist in the Gothia World Youth Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Ashley Clarke, a native of Paramus, N.J., enters with the experience of a four-year starter at Immaculate Heart Academy where she won three County and two State Championships. In 2009, Ashley earned First Team All-County Honors and was named the North Jersey Player of the Year as well as an Adidas High School All-American. Just like Albrecht, Clarke re-joins Tambi having already played for his World Class Arsenal Hawks Club Team.
Meghan Hayes, a native of Newton, N.J., was a four-time All-League and two-time All-West Jersey and All-State Group II Second Team recipient while attending Kittatinny Regional High School. During her four years, she led her team in scoring every season and was awarded the 2009 Conference Player of the Year and Mugs Media Player of the Year. In addition to soccer, Hayes earned MVP and All-League honors in basketball and track and field.
Kaitlyn Ritter, a native of Hagerstown, Md., brings 13 years of indoor and outdoor soccer experience to the Pirates, including four years for the four-time County Champions North Hagerstown. During her time in high school, Ritter was a three-time First Team All-Piedmont Conference and First Team All-County honoree. On top of the conference championships, she was a major contributor to the Regional Championship and State Semi-Finals appearance in 2008. Ritter also captained her club team, Hagerstown Freedom 91, where she helped them to the 2004 and 2005 Mason Dixon Championship and the 2004 Hagerstown Lion Club Championship.
Amie Ruhe, a native of Monrovia, Md. was a four-year starter at Urbana High School where she was a three-time First Team All-Area and First Team All-Conference, and a two-time Frederick News Post Defensive Player of the Year. During her senior season, Ruhe was named to the First-Team All-State and to the NSCAA All-South Region teams. Ruhe is also a member of the State Cup Finalist Under-18 FC Frederick Club team and the Maryland ODP team that was the Regional Champions in 2007 and 2008.
