
Women's Soccer Drops 3-0 Decision at Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY - Louisville scored three times early in the first half and never looked back as the Cardinals defeated the Seton Hall women's soccer team, 3-0, Sunday in Louisville.
Louisville (9-5-3, 7-1-2) got on the board in the eighth minute when Jennifer Jones found Erin Yenney, who beat a Seton Hall defender and scored from 14 yards out.
In the 20th minute, the Cardinals added some insurance on Jordan Pawlik's first goal of the season.
Less than nine minutes later Jones got into the scoring column with an unassisted goal to extend Louisville's lead to 3-0.
Seton Hall (8-7-2, 4-6-0) goalkeeper Jennifer Pettigrew (Kearny, N.J.) played a strong game despite giving up three goals. She faced an onslaught of Louisville shots and made an impressive 13 saves. In all, Louisville out-shot the Pirates, 27-to-5. Seton Hall put just one shot on goal, compared to 15 for the Cardinals.
Sophomore Ashley Clarke (Paramas, N.J.) notched the Pirates' lone shot on goal. She also tallied three of the Pirates' five shots during the game.
Louisville had 15 of the game's 17 corner kicks.
Seton Hall will return to action on Friday, Oct. 21, at Rutgers. The Pirates' regular season finale will begin at 7:00 pm.
