SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - For the first time since 2005, the Seton Hall women's soccer program will kick-off a new season on their home field when they host Fordham Sunday, August 21. The game will begin the Pirates 18th season and fifth for head coach Kazbek Tambi.
Seton Hall will play their second home game one week later when Lehigh travels to South Orange on Sunday, August 28. Just three days prior, the Hall will be in West Long Branch, N.J. to play Monmouth.
Following their second home game, Tambi and his squad will hit the road to participate in the West Point Tournament where they will play host school Army and Colgate on September 2 and 4, respectively. They will then play at home against Princeton on September 9, and travel to Iona on September 11 for the final non-conference game of the year.
Their home conference schedule will feature Georgetown, Syracuse, St. John's, Notre Dame - the 2010 NCAA National Champions, and DePaul. On the road, they will face Villanova, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Louisville, and Rutgers.
The 2011 BIG EAST Championship will begin on Oct. 27 and the quarterfinals will be played on October 30 at the higher-seeded institution's campus. The semifinals and final will be hosted in Morgantown, by West Virginia, on November 4-6.
