NEW YORK - Sophomore Katie Ritter (Monrovia, Md.) was named SoccerSavings.com/BigAppleSoccer.com women's college player of the week on Monday, August 29.

Ritter scored the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Monmouth on Friday, August 26. The striker's goal was her first of the season and eighth of her young career. Ritter took a long pass from Stephanie Soma (Franklin, Mass.) and Ritter slipped behind the challenging goalkeeper for an uncontested score.

The Pirates will travel to West Point to play Army on Friday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m.
