SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The accolades keep rolling in for senior midfielder Taylor Wilson (Rahway, N.J.).
Following a stretch where Wilson led the Pirates to victories in their first two BIG EAST matches, CollegeSoccer360.com has named her the Division I National Women's Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 18.
Wilson, who netted two game-winning goals and notched two assists in games against Georgetown and Villanova, is the first BIG EAST player to garner the national honor from the publication this season. The decisive tallies gave Wilson three such goals on the year, tying her for second most in the BIG EAST.
Wilson was also tabbed as one of four National Players of the Week by SoccerAmerica.com.
The announcements continue a string of awards for Wilson this week. Her recent efforts also earned BigAppleSoccer.com and BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Wilson and the rest of the Pirates face two BIG EAST road tests this week. SHU heads to Morgantown, W. Va. on Friday to take on the #25 Mountaineers in a battle of BIG EAST divisional leaders. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
Seton Hall wraps up a three game road swing Sunday, Sept. 25 when they go up against the Panthers of Pittsburgh. Start-time is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
