Ritter Named to BIG EAST Watch List

Ritter led Seton Hall in scoring last season with six goals and earned Third-Team All-BIG EAST postseason accolades. She received BIG EAST All-Rookie honors in 2010 and is only the second player in program history to be named to the conference's All-Rookie Team and go on to earn All-BIG EAST honors later in her career.
TopDrawerSoccer ranked Ritter as the No. 16 player in the BIG EAST Conference and she was the ninth-highest rated player in the BIG EAST National Division with a total of just five forwards landing on the list.
Through her first two seasons, Ritter already ranks in a tie for sixth place in program history with 13 goals and is tied for 10th place at Seton Hall with 27 points. Heading into her junior campaign, she needs just one goal to move into a tie for fifth place and is only four goals shy of jumping all the way up to third.
Ritter has already registered a pair of multi-goal games in her career and has consistently shown the ability to deliver when her team needs her most, piling up three game-winning scores in each of her first two seasons.
The Seton Hall women's soccer team posted a 9-8-3 overall record last season and advanced to the BIG EAST quarterfinals for the first time since 1999. The Pirates kick off their 2012 season on Friday, Aug. 17, against LIU Brooklyn at Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, N.J., at 7 p.m.
