PROMOTION
Thursday's tilt will serve as the annual Mary Jennings Game. Jennings was a women's soccer student-athlete who lost her battle with cancer at the age of 21. Mary was committed to a life of service to others, brought love, laughter and learning wherever she went and made an indelible mark on the lives of so many students, both at Seton Hall and in our local schools.
An endowed scholarship in Mary's name is currently housed in the College of Education. To donate to the Mary L. Jennings Memorial Scholarship, click here.
PIRATES FALL AT DEPAUL
Despite a second half shutout by the Seton Hall defense and freshman goalkeeper Harpa Johannsdottir (Akureyri, Iceland), the Pirates couldn't overcome a halftime deficit as the Hall fell to DePaul, 4-0, last Saturday.
Junior Laura Hooper (Watford, England) and sophomore Marisa Difonso (Joppa, Md.) tallied shots for the Hall while Difonso's shot was on goal.
Freshman Blair Currie (Christchurch, New Zealand) picked up her first career start for the Pirates and she registered four saves. Johannsdottir came on with five minutes left in the first half and didn't allow the Blue Demons to score again.
SCOUTING CREIGHTON
Creighton currently sits in eighth in the BIG EAST with a record of 1-3-2 in conference play. The Bluejays are 7-6-2 overall and have drawn twice and lost two times over its last four matches.
