Gordon tabbed to Weekly Honor Roll
South Orange, N.J. -- Sophomore Chiara Pucci (Munich, Germany) has been named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Seton Hall women's soccer team to two shutouts last week. Senior goal keeper Grace Gordon (Chester Springs, Pa.) was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll for her part in two clean sheets for the Pirates.
From her centerback position, Pucci patrolled a backline that kept two opponents off the scoreboard in a 1-0-1 week for The Hall. Pucci played the full 90 minutes in both games and she helped the Pirates limit NJIT and Saint Joseph's to a combined three shots on goal. Pucci was also key in limiting NJIT and Saint Joseph's to a combined 13 shots, while Seton Hall outshot both opponents.
Gordon had one shutout in the 2-0 win over the Hawks and one shared shutout last week with sophomore Anna Prawer (London, England) against NJIT. Gordon made three saves while earning a 1-0-1 record over the weekend.
