South Orange, N.J. — A special season came to an end for the Seton Hall women's soccer team on Thursday night at Owen T. Carroll Field as the Pirates dropped a 2-0 decision to UConn.

Despite the loss, The Hall registered its most BIG EAST points since 2011 and its second most victories in a season since 2012, among other accomplishments.
How It Happened
UConn got off the first four shots of the game as it utilized its speed and physicality to set the tone. Two of those shots were saved by Prawer, who finished with seven saves, just two shy of her career high. Senior Brina Micheels (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) was the first Pirate to get a shot on goal. In the 35th minute, a defining moment in the game transpired as the Pirates were called for a foul in the box, resulting in a penalty kick goal for the Huskies.
UConn went into the half leading 1-0 would later double its tally in the 75th minute. Despite Chiara Pucci (Munich, Germany) moving from her center back position to the midfield to try and provide an offensive spark, nothing was going for the Pirates in their attacking third.
