College Soccer News Tabs Tavana To National Team of the Week

Talahassee, Fla. -- To go along with her second BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week award this season, junior Natalie Tavana (Middletown, Conn.) has been named to College Soccer News' National Team of the Week.
Tavana has been a force on the offensive side of the ball for Seton Hall. She scored the lone goal in their 1-0 Big East win over St. John's and contributed her tenth goal on the season to date in the Pirates subsequent 1-1 tie with nationally ranked Xavier. Seton Hall improves to 5-5-2 with a 1-2-1 mark in conference play.
Tavana is on pace to have a season that hasn't been seen at Seton Hall for a women's soccer player in more than 10 years. Her 10 goals this season is tied for the fourth in program history for scores in a single season and her 21 points rank sixth all-time. Tavana is just one of three Pirates, joining Kelly Smith and Courtney Wood, to score at least 10 goals in a season in school history. Tavana also ranks in the top 10 in both career goals (15, sixth) and career points (37, eighth) at Seton Hall.
