NEW YORK -- Junior Natalie Tavana (Middletown, Conn.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after racking up seven points on three goals and an assist last week for the Seton Hall women's soccer team.
Tavana, who was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on August 28, picked up a brace in Seton Hall's 4-0 win over Le Moyne on Sunday, scoring the game's second goal off of a free kick and the Pirates' third goal of the match midway through the second half. She also tallied first assist of the season in the win over the Dolphins. Tavana cut the Pirates' deficit to one, 2-1, at Yale on her fifth goal of the season on Thursday.
Tavana is on pace to have a season that hasn't been seen for a women's soccer player in South Orange in more than 10 years. Her seven goals this season is already tied for the seventh in program history for most goals in a single season and her 15 points are tied for ninth all-time. Tavana's seven goals and 15 points are the most for a Pirate since Katie Ritter had seven tallies and 15 points in 2013. Tavana has also entered the top 10 in both career goals (12, t-10th) and career points (31, t-10th).
